Pbd's 5 moves for the week
September 19, 2021
1. Reflect

"The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. You could have all the talent in the world, but if you don't do the right thing, then nothing happens." -A Bronx Tale

Your Move

If this statement hits home, then you are already aware that you're wasting your talent. I trust you know how to stop playing small and will put in the work to turn into the best version of yourself.

2. Stat of the week

From The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork
The Wrong Person in the Wrong Place = Regression
The Wrong Person in the Right Place = Frustration
The Right Person in the Wrong Place = Confusion
The Right Person in the Right Place = Progression
The Right People in the Right Places = Multiplication

Your Move

Like a conductor of a symphony or the GM of a sports team, constantly look at your team and make sure the right people are in the right roles.

3. Strategize

Do you feel like you're working harder than others but not meeting the right people, getting recognition, or earning great money? Are you waiting to be discovered (and are worried it won't happen)?

Your Move

Keep working! It's not a question of if; it's only a question of when. When you do outstanding work, the word ALWAYS gets out. I elaborate in this video. Have faith that when you do your part, the right people WILL show up.

4. Read

The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork: Embrace Them and Empower Your Team
This classic by John Maxwell was the book-of-the-month for Valuetainment.

Your Move

Read it (again if you already have). And no matter the size of your company, start a Book Club and commit to it.

5. Perspective

Literacy, food, telecommunications, freedom of religion, and education.

Your Move

I interviewed Marian L. Tupy. a senior fellow at the Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity, and coauthor of The Simon Project. We discussed something you'll rarely hear on the news--why the world is becoming a BETTER place (as well as the top ten global trends every person should know).
