Pbd's 5 moves for the week
November 28, 2021
1. Reflect

"The harder you are on yourself, the easier life will be on you."

Your Move

As you'll see in this video, I believe it's important to reward yourself when you achieve a goal. If you don't treat yourself when you have a big month, your psyche won't see the value in working hard going forward. That's a problem for 5-10 percent of people. What's more common is people who reward themselves when they DON'T perform. Those people need to be harder on themselves and save celebrating for when they actually win.

2. Stat of the week

Simple 4-step plan for effective selling before you present a proposal: 1. Do a proper needs analysis 2. Ask thoughtful questions to find the right emotions and goals 3. Customize a plan specific to their needs 4. Let the prospect know you’re working on something tailored to their needs and set up an appointment for a later date.

Your Move

Stop trying to sell people and start trying to solve their problems. It begins with listening so you can truly understanding them and offer solutions that meet their needs, not yours.

3. Strategize

If you haven't looked at last year's business plan and reflected on your results, you made a "wish list" and not a business plan.

Your Move

Before you start to work on your 2022 business plan, look at your plans for 2021 and 2020. See what percentage of your goals you hit and look for trends. If you want more guidance, join me on December 20 for a full day Business Planning Workshop.

4. Read

Gladiator. Again! And I enjoy it more every time.

Your Move

Watch this classic movie. Or just watch this clip for a timeless truth.

5. Perspective

Food. About 793 million people in the world are starving. Let that be a reminder to not take food for granted.

Your Move

Make "giving thanks" a daily habit, instead of an annual one.
