In order to raise standards, instead of inviting people to meetings/calls, create a metric so they have to earn their way on.
Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way works in the military. It's also the worst strategy to lead salespeople and 1099 contractors.
Learn the language of talking to volunteers. It's persuasive instead of militant. If you're going to move people, you' have to tell stories that inspire and show that you care.
Do you own your business or does your business own you?
Ask yourself what would happen if you had to turn off your phone and email for two days. If this frightens you, it means you are working so deeply IN the business that you can't work ON the business. That's a formula for survival, not growth.

Stop playing small and hanging out with people who accept the status quo. Elevate your network and encourage people to hold you accountable. If you met someone at The Vault who intimidates you, call them and offer value so they become part of your network.
