This rule also applies to business. Most of the time, it means making sure the negative person isn't in the room in the first place.
There are three parts to every effective message.
Present the problem. Give evidence with facts and third-party research. Present the solution that works IF you are willing to put in the effort.
If you run daily meetings, what day is the most important? Why? What's the exact outcome you want from this meeting?
Stop winging it. Go beyond the agenda to know the PURPOSE of every meeting. Also know what day is most important for your business. For me, it's Monday.
