Pbd's 5 moves for the week
November 12, 2023
1. Reflect

The best of the best only think about what they can do get better today. The pretenders blame outside forces, make excuses, and say, "Only if."

Your Move

If you want to be the best, you never slow down. The minute you spot yourself pointing fingers, point them right back at you as a reminder that YOU, and you alone, determine your destiny.

2. Stat of the week

If a leader has a group of advisors and/or running mates to process issues with, he or she will be much more successful.

Your Move

Create your advisory council. If you're lucky enough to have amazing bosses and parents, you're lucky. If you don't, instead of playing the victim, go recruit your own council. This could be a professional group or your own curated team of mentors/advisors.

3. Strategize

When you're creating visuals and affirmations, do you go based on public opinion or do you make a personal choice?

Your Move

When it comes to inspiration, stop being logical. When you create your future, choose what moves you emotionally. It's the rocket fuel for your success.

4. Read

The 17 Undisputable Laws of Teamwork by John C. Maxwell. It's timeless and valuable, which is why I made it the Book of the Month for Valuetainment.

Your Move

Do you still not have a Book of the Month Club? If you've been following the content this long and haven't made reading an important part of your culture, there's not much else I can say. Could the problem be that you have yet to identify your enemies?

5. Perspective

The power of presence that you can't replicate via Zoom. Be grateful for the ability to travel, to congregate, and to look people in the eye.

Your Move

If you want to build a culture and loyalty, you need to move people emotionally. You'll never be able to do this without meeting face-to-face.
