Pbd's 5 moves for the week
May 27, 2023
1. Reflect

Understand the difference between selling a dream to those who fear hard work and those who have such a powerful mission that they love to work.

Your Move

Know your audience. Whether you're selling a product, service, or idea, stop thinking about what you want and start thinking about what others want.

2. Stat of the week

By the time you're being reactive, it's too late. You need to think at least five moves ahead--especially because your competition will be.

Your Move

You won't see the impact of being proactive for several decades. If you stop being proactive, it's either because you haven't graduated to new enemies or you don't have a long-term vision.

3. Strategize

What makes a better case: facts and figures or a personal story?

Your Move

Understand the limitations of logic. Unless you move people emotionally, all the data in the world will not sway anyone's opinion.

4. Read

This quote from Erasmus. “When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.”

Your Move

Commit to making reading a lifelong habit if you want to be successful. Commit to making it a habit for your entire company if you want to build an empire.

5. Perspective

Health. We tend to take it for granted until something bad happens to us or someone close to us.

Your Move

Appreciate your health and make the moves to maintain it. Also, don't take the health of your loved ones for granted. Don't wait another minute without letting people close to you know how much they mean to you.
