Pbd's 5 moves for the week
May 21, 2022
1. Reflect

Never confuse love and waiting on another person's success. Love is unconditional. Supporting someone's success is earned and totally conditional.

Your Move

History is very demanding, especially when you want to do the impossible. When you make the commitment and test your limits, success is fifty times sweeter than you could ever imagine.

2. Stat of the week

Feel-felt-found is a fundamental tool for salespeople. You respond to an objection by saying, "I understand how you feel. I'm worked with many others who have felt the same way. What they've found is...

Your Move

Don't say this like it's a formula. Feel it. Mean it. Real empathy combined with sharing the success you've had with others creates more sales.

3. Strategize

In the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, Jesus said: "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

Your Move

Never underestimate the incredible things that will happen in your life when you do the impossible. The opposite is also true: when you fail to bring your best, you start to die inside.

4. Read

This quote from British naval officer and author Northcote Parkinson: “The void created by the failure to communicate is soon filled with poison, drivel and misrepresentation.”

Your Move

Last week I emphasized the importance of not just reading, but really digging into what you're learning. When I found the quote listed above, I did some research on Northcote Parkinson, who is best known for Parkinson's Law: Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.

5. Perspective

Market corrections and bear markets. They bring balance to the economy and weed out the pretenders who don't have real businesses.

Your Move

Stay alert and stay paranoid. Keep double the cash you think is needed, so you're ready to pounce on opportunities.
