The more you raise your standards and cater to your team's needs, the more you can also challenge them.
You have to train people on learning how to lose and learning how to win. When you win, you think you walk on water and know it all. When you lose, you lose confidence and beat yourself up. A leader knows what to do in both scenarios.
When you build people up, you must end with the statement with an IF. You can't just say, "This guy is going to be one of the best." Instead, say, "This guy is going to be one of the best IF he stays hungry after his best month, IF he continues to grow, IF he continues to invest in personal growth."
The art of persuasion is asking the best questions. What makes you pissed off about the world? Who doubted you? Who do you wake up in the morning fired up to prove wrong?

Make getting better a habit. If you're not a big reader, listen to audio books. Either way, you have to keep expanding your knowledge base.
People around you who think big. These people are the biggest magnets in the world. If you are close to one, stay close. If you are one, you will magnetize people to you. I firmly believe that being a big thinker is my number one edge.
Show the urgency to prove it. If you really think big, do big.
