Pbd's 5 moves for the week
March 26, 2022
1. Reflect

Speed and access to talent have increased exponentially. It makes it easier for people to target you and recruit your people. That's why it's even more important for you to stay paranoid.

Your Move

Technology and social media can make or break you. Capitalism never stops. You better stay vigilant to protect what you have and continually adapt your strategy to replace what you lose.

2. Stat of the week

The hardest thing to do as a leader is to get people to embrace teamwork. I've never seen an organization killing it that's not unified.

Your Move

As the leader, you must continue to find ways to bring your team together. As a parent, it's the same challenge to make sure your kids get along with their siblings. Whether it's family or business, you better devote a large part of your time and resources to creating teamwork and unity.

3. Strategize

The lowest rate of divorce is when you meet someone from friends, family, or through work. The take-away is that familiarity is power.

Your Move

Swiping may be here to stay, but if you want to improve your odds of a successful marriage, look for partners within your network. Like in business, the more you understand history and trends, the better you can predict the future.

4. Read

Disconnect. A psychological drama with an ensemble cast featuring Jason Bateman. This is no popcorn movie, and it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

Your Move

It's a painful movie that every parent needs to watch. Sometimes being reminded of how scary the world can be is a good thing because it forces you to be more vigilant about protecting your family.

.

5. Perspective

Capitalism. More than 3,000 Home Depot employees became millionaires because of the entrepreneurs who took the risk to start the company. Home Depot paid its employees more than $1 billion in profit sharing over the course of five years (2013-2018).

Your Move

Watch this short interview with Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone. He said, "You don't elevate the poor by lowering the rich."
