Pbd's 5 moves for the week
July 23, 2023
1. Reflect

You can have an internal "Mamba" mentality (I'm never going to stop) and also have an external mentality of acceptance. If you don't master both, you're going to scare people away who don't match your intensity.

Your Move

You burn out when you spend too much time with people who don't want to help themselves. Reserve your Mamba mentality for your own goals and for those who share your ambition.

2. Stat of the week

There's a difference between ego and pride. Pride is caring about your last name and your legacy. Ego is about vanity and being right.

Your Move

We all have an ego, and the biggest competitors have massive egos. The key isn't hiding it. It's knowing how and when to put your ego to use.

3. Strategize

How hard of a life have you lived?

Your Move

Recognize that the harder a life a person has led, the more they can handle adversity. Look for these people because they don't make excuses and have a different level of resiliency.

4. Read

Blue Ocean Strategy. It's number one on my list of my Top 5 Must-Reads for Entrepreneurs.

Your Move

Make reading a life-long habit. Start with the five books listed above. If you stop reading, you stop learning. And if you stop learning, you'll be out of business before long.

5. Perspective

Enemies. They force you to raise your game to avoid the rejection and humiliation that happens when you prove your enemies right.

Your Move

If you want a big life, you have to be mentally and emotionally prepared for humiliation. This is why, instead of running away from enemies, you learn to seek them out.
