Learn to use the phrases "Let me think about it," "Give me a day," and, "Let me process it and get back to you." As much as I care about speed and trust my instincts, there are very few instances in which I'm not better off waiting 24 hours before finalizing an important decision.
Those who lose Q1, lose the year. Maybe you can overcome a bad January, but if you don't right the ship this month, you'll lose too much momentum, confidence, and authority to have a killer year.
Take the time to revisit your business plan and goals. If you can remember WHY and WHO you are working for, the WHAT and the HOW will become obvious.
Can you sum up your position on important topics in one soundbite? Can you appreciate the importance of critical thinking and how very few issues can be reduced to right or wrong?
