Pbd's 5 moves for the week
February 26, 2022
1. Reflect

You ever wonder how victims become so great at follow-up after they quit? When it comes to building a business, you don't hear from them much. Once they have a grudge to share, they never miss a chance to spread their message of victimhood.

Your Move

Since victimhood is contagious, get victims out of your life and your business. The last thing you want to do is chase victims or talk them into staying. The most reliable ROI is focusing on your winners.

2. Stat of the week

The fastest way to increase retention is for people around you to succeed. When people you lead make money, others see this and stick around. Even better, your recruiting strategy changes from chasing to screening.

Your Move

Figure out how people on your team can double their income. Fight for their success and don't accept anything but their best. There will be times when they hate you, but as I've said many times, "You may hate me now, but you'll love me in twenty years."

3. Strategize

When you take strong positions, you are going to make enemies. If you're not offending anyone, you're playing life too safe. Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Here's what Blagojevich had to say about Justin Trudeau on the podcast.

Your Move

Let go of your desire to be liked by everyone. It's human nature to want to please people. But if you're doing it at the expense of sharing your truth, you are hurting yourself, your business, and your family.

4. Read

This quote from Martin Luther King: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Your Move

Be the calm in the storm. When others panic, do even more to show you are composed and centered. When others are afraid, be the leader who provides a plan and hope.

5. Perspective

Not hearing bombs going off. I can tell you from growing up Iran that this is a horrible way to live, which is why my heart goes out to the people in Ukraine.

Your Move

Take nothing for granted. Do whatever is in your power to create peace and don't wait another second to tell the people you love how much they mean to you.
