Pbd's 5 moves for the week
December 4, 2022
1. Reflect

The more you do things others aren't willing to do, the more you become convinced that you deserve success.

Your Move

Pay the price. Constantly improve. Over-deliver on your promises. Raise your work ethic and you'll raise your standards. Raise your standards and success becomes inevitable.

2. Stat of the week

Make sure people understand why before you explain how. Never take your audience's attention for granted, even if it's a routine staff meeting.

Your Move

Speak the dream language at least 20 percent of the time to keep people engaged and moved emotionally. Fail to do this and people will tune you out and your logical plans won't get heard.

3. Strategize

Seneca said, "One thing that all fools have in common is that they're always delaying to live."

Your Move

Procrastination stands in the way of who you truly want to be. Change later to now and watch your business take off.

4. Read

No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention by Reid Hastings and Erin Meyer.

Your Move

Learn how to tell your company's story and define its culture. And though I do recommend learning from other strong companies, do NOT try to copy their culture. Instead, chose a culture that mirrors your values and principles.

5. Perspective

Health. Whether you are running, jogging, or walking, it's a gift to be healthy and one that you can't take for granted. It's a big part of most families and cultures to celebrate with food and drink over the holidays--sometimes at the expense of health.

Your Move

Start your healthy habits now. If you're committed to being the best version of you in 2023, instead of digging a deeper hole this month, begin now. You can still enjoy a feast on special occasions. In fact, finding the right balance will allow you to create a plan that is sustainable and balances fitness and fun.
