Pbd's 5 moves for the week
December 25, 2022
1. Reflect

The hardest people to recruit are doers because doers don't need you.

Your Move

Doers are independent, willing to put in the work and don’t complain. Don't try to recruit them with a victim mentality. Instead, show them how others on your team with their attitude have succeeded and reached new heights.

2. Stat of the week

How will you get better at conflict resolution in 2023? Start by seeing how much conflict avoidance is costing you--in time, money, and aggravation.

Your Move

To have a hard conversation, start by asking: Do I have permission to be direct with you? If they say yes, it creates the right dynamic. If they say no, don't waste your time--neither with this conversation nor this person.

3. Strategize

What turns off dreams faster than anything? Your excuses.

Your Move

Either increase your commitment and work ethic to accomplish your dream or choose a lesser dream. When setting your 2023 goals, you must first be completely honest with yourself.

4. Read

This quote from Andres, who loves the newsletter. "I will print these 5 moves on my wall for next year. There's so much value in these weekly nuggets. Thank you!" Nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing other entrepreneurs benefit from my stories and experiences.

Your Move

Since many of you are still working on your business plans and New Year's resolutions, now is a good time to check out my Top 100 Books.

5. Perspective

Haters and anyone who is critical of you. Haters help you see your weaknesses and your blind spots. You may ignore these people but don't ignore their message. When something hurts, it's usually true.

Your Move

Take advantage of feeling hurt by channeling that emotion into proving your haters wrong. And then look for your next enemy to keep providing fuel.
