Pbd's 5 moves for the week
December 16, 2023
1. Reflect

To build a massive organization, you need to create a culture of positive peer pressure.

Your Move

Find a way for your top performer to double the income of the second highest performer. It raises the standard and changes the mindset of everybody chasing them.

2. Stat of the week

The force of negativity is much more powerful than the force of positivity. The best recruiters in the world are negative people--and they will ruin you if you don't know how to deal with them.

Your Move

People can lose years of their business because of a negative influence. If you have a negative loner, let that person be. If you have a negative recruiter, lead that person to the door.

3. Strategize

Is there anything more important than protecting your killers and inner circle?

Your Move

Are you seeing a theme here? Resist the urge to try to change people and coach up your low performers. Instead, put most of your energy into protecting and leading your killers.

4. Read

The Greatest Networker in the World by John Milton Fogg. Published in 1997 and still as relevant as ever--it came up in one of my leadership meetings this week.

Your Move

This book talks about how victims are the best recruiters. It's evergreen because it never changes. That means you can never stop weeding out negativity.

5. Perspective

Being a big target and getting criticized! This only happens to successful people. It's a sign that what you're doing is working.

Your Move

Go beyond accepting haters and start embracing them! The best of the best (think MJ, Musk, Brady) leverage their haters and enemies into rocket fuel for their success.
