When most people reach a level of success, they slow down, or they stop completely. Much respect for Tim Cook for refusing to play it safe or get complacent. Apple was worth $349 billion in 2011 when Cook took over, and today it's worth $3 trillion.
Never let the stage fool you. In other words, don't judge people on their public persona. Instead, find the metrics (like EBITDA and growth rate) that actually measure success.
It's okay to feel a certain way when you listen to a speaker. But before you make any decisions about this person, check their track record and see if their actions are consistent with their words.
Who is the only person who knows how big you think?
One clue that you're not thinking big; you attract victims and complainers. A clue that you are thinking big; you don't feel the need to convince anyone about your vision. Your actions speak for themselves.
