Think hard about whose opinions matter most to you and if you're making moves to please them or prove something to them. If you are, consider what it would be like to pursue your mission while being free of the opinions of others.
How important it is to study politics so you can’t be controlled by the media. Plato, one of the greatest philosophers of all time, said, "Those who believe it’s foolish to study politics are usually governed by fools who do."
Diversify your news sources. Most of us think we are unbiased and are good at seeking out ideas from both sides. The reality is that most people only look at news that supports their ideology--and then don't evolve or adapt.
Taxes I talked about this last week, and it's important enough for me to keep digging deeper. That's why I interviewed CPA and author Tom Wheelwright, who said that taxes on small business hurt the economy the most. He also said, "When people say the rich don’t pay a lot of tax, they kind of imply that they’re cheating. But what I find is that they just have better tax advice."

Reading alone is not a move. Do an audit of your own communication,. Start by asking colleagues, friends, and experts--since you can't see your blind spots--how you can improve.
Family. It's common for entrepreneurs to feel guilty about not spending enough time with family. If you can make time to show your gratitude (and make the time that you do spend with them memorable), they will give you the space to build your business.
Create and commit to rituals (and send calendar invites to yourself if it helps) date nights, quarterly vacations, daddy-daughter/son days, etc. Treat family time as a non-negotiable and remember that success will feel empty if you don't have loved ones to share it with.
