Pbd's 5 moves for the week
February 11, 2024
1. Reflect

The average cost of a 30-second ad spot during the Super Bowl is $7 million. If you don't have that type of money, what else can you do to make a similar, exponential impact?

Your Move

Be creative. Stop playing by the rules. Forget playing it safe. You're only one innovate campaign away from exponential growth.

2. Stat of the week

83% of HR managers find retaining employees more challenging than hiring them.

Your Move

Stop thinking that "recruiting" stops after you hire someone. From the minute you make an offer, you are constantly working to build loyalty and retain your team. it's not a one-off move; it's a 24-7 commitment to culture.

3. Strategize

For all the hype you hear about multiple streams of revenue, real wealth is created by expertise and connections in one arena.

Your Move

Spend at least a decade doing one thing at an elite level before you think about diversifying. And even when you do, branch out into areas that are synergistic with your core business.

4. Read

The New Gold Standard: 5 Leadership Principles for Creating a Legendary Customer Experience Courtesy of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company by Joseph Michell.

Your Move

Never stop learning. Instead of accepting your weaknesses, attack them by studying what worked for others and elevating your own game.

5. Perspective

If you don't define your own values and principles, others will. If you don't know your own boundaries, you will lose the respect of those who follow you.

Your Move

Be a leader! That means having the hard conversations and doing things that make others uncomfortable. The alternative to dealing with conflict is losing your credibility...and eventually your business.
